The Emergency Room is situated on the 2nd floor at the end of the Gynaecology wards, and deals with all Gynaecology emergencies.

The Emergency Room treats patients who have urgent or emergency gynaecological problems, or are under 20 weeks pregnant and have any pregnancy or gynaecological related problems.

The Emergency Room is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The Xray Department provides an ultrasonographer who is available in the Emergency Room from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with no scan facilities at the Weekends or Bank Holidays.

Patients can walk in themselves, be referred from their GP with or without a letter (preferably with a letter). We have inter hospital referrals, Abacus/Brooke or other Family Planning Clinics.
